Week 22 Weigh in Results

I had my week 22 weigh-in yesterday morning and couldnt have been happier with the results! Apparently that bag of cherries really did disappear because I managed to lose 4 lbs! That puts me down a total of 56.7 lbs to date, weighing in at 205.8 with less than 10 lbs to go before I reach my halfway point. w00t!

Ill also be excited to break 200 lbs and have it feel like Im closer by having a 1 out front. lol

I just got finished pruning my overgrown pear tree (more of a workout than Ive had in a while!) and I feel great. Cant wait to see if it helps the fruit do better next year. The pears have been looking a little buggy and small for a couple of years so itd be nice to have them be edible again. :-)

Really looking forward to another good week and staying on track... Im so close to being where I need to be for us to start trying for a family that it almost feels like I should start considering how to cover up the hideous dark purple trim in the spare bedroom/hopefully-someday-nursery!

Day 24 on the Fast Metabolism Diet 5 22 13

Ive noticed that I am less reliant on the phone app that I purchased for the diet, however I did mess up and have carrots today so maybe I should keep taking a peak at it LOL. It definitely was a LIFE SAVER in those first couple of weeks, but now everything feels more natural and eating clean is becoming a habit, which I love!

The question between my husband and I that keeps coming up is - what next?!  What about day 29?  Haylie published a post on her blog yesterday that I thought was awesome, since we are quickly approaching day 29. Link to blog: http://www.fastmetabolismdiet.com/now-what-day-29-of-the-fast-metabolism-diet/
As stated before, day 29 will be a cheat day for me!  But then what?  I still have more weight that I want to lose.  Ultimately Id like to be in the 130s but Im not sure I can commit to as much deprivation again just yet.  Im planning to do a slight modification of both options 1 & 2 that she suggested in her blog (link above).  I also plan to do a full week of the diet, kind of like a cleanse, once every 12 weeks.  Or maybe even every 8 weeks until I get to my goal weight.

Week 22

Roarke

The next time we go back to the doctor will be in December so no updated stats for you. However, lots has been going on with the Roarke-a-nator lately. He is growing up way too fast that is for sure. Roarke is such a happy little boy and takes almost every situation he is put into in stride. He LOVES being outside or going new places and is absolutely content when doing so for the most part. There is never a morning when I get up with him that he isnt ALL smiles! He is a roll over monster and seriously could make his way across the room just by doing so. He also has recently really started to enjoy standing up (with help of course) and will stamp his feet like he is determined to go somewhere. He has not started on foods yet, not because he doesnt want to, but more like because Im not ready to yet. We did recently try out his high chair and he seemed to be a fan. He is still teething and going through growth spurts every now and again which causes some bad nights of sleep for the both of us, but for the most part he is a great sleeper. The newest thing he likes to do is suck on his toes and can be found doing so mostly after bath time. Books and music continue to be one of his favorite things and I can always count on using one of those to calm him down if he is crying. Him and Remington still get along just fine, but I wonder how the dynamic will change once Roarke is mobile. YIKES! Not a day goes by that Im not thankful for just how blessed we are!

Day 22 on the Fast Metabolism Diet 5 20 13

I managed to have a different fruit with every meal today - yeah!  Im trying to mix up the foods a little more, but its hard to get away from the "staples": oatmeal, eggs, chicken and steak.  Im not into seafood, except for shrimp, but no one else will eat it when I make it at home - apparently I dont make Benihana quality shrimp!  I just need to switch out the chicken for shrimp in either the rice or pasta dish and I bet theyll eat it then - something to try next week!
