Clean Eating Weight Loss Meal Plan 93

Breakfast

Organic Steel Cut Oats with Mixed Berry Sauce

After softening mixed berries with coconut oil and and all natural brown cane sugar via stove top, ingredients turned into berry sauce. I then added sauce to cooked organic steel cut oats. It was a scrumptious and filling breakfast. Hope you like the idea!

Mid Morning Snack

Trader Joes Dark Chocolate Almonds

A little sweet and a little salty, these dark chocolate almonds explode with flavor.

Find them at Trader Joes Dark Chocolate Almonds.

Lunch

Thai Black Fried Rice

Black rice, or forbidden rice, is a product of Southeast Asia. Its rich in antioxidants that flush bodys waste and anthocyanins that prevent plague-build up in arteries to cause heart attack.

Like white rice, black rice can be cooked in many ways, including in fried rice. Todays black fried rice, for example, is a fantastic way to enjoy black rice. With eggs and broccoli, the dish was full of protein, vegetable and grain. Plus, it was tasty.

If you want the recipe, find it at Clean Eating Dinner Recipe - Thai Black Rice

Afternoon Snack

Grapes, Walnuts and Honey

Dinner

Clean Eating Orange Chicken

Normal process of making orange chicken is to first bread and fry chicken in oil at high temperature, and then drown the chicken, by stir fry, in heavy, starchy and sugary sauce. (Trust me. Our family owned a Chinese restaurant. Ive seen the process many times.)

Orange chicken is delicious, but certainly unhealthy. Todays clean eating orange chicken, however, retains orange chickens tangy flavor without deep-frying and heavy breading. Its light, simple and (still) delicious. A great clean eating alternative to your favorite Chinese meal.

New RECIPES page on my blog!

I admit, the addition of a "just recipes" page to my blog is mostly selfish but I really think it could help other people like me too.  So many nights I make these recipes in my own home and end up saying to myself, "what temperature was that again?" or "how much cumin was that supposed to be?" well now instead of booting up the laptop to search my blog because searching it with my iPod results in a lot of squinting and whining, all of my recipes will be on one page - no searching, just scroll!  I hope everyone enjoys this feature.  Ill continue to post recipes in my blog updates and also add them to the recipes page to be part of the big list for easy finding later.  Tell me what you think... I thought originally that Id be able to do multiple "posts" on the 2nd page but that doesnt seem possible so Ive just made it into a big list to scroll through.  The recipes will basically be listed in chronological order with the newest one on top.  Tell me what you think!  :)

Oh!  Also, Ive added the email addresses of a few people who read regularly/subscribe to a distribution list.  For some reason this notification will only allow me to send to 10 people so if youre on the list and dont want the notifications please let me know and if youre not and you want to get on the wait list for being one of those 10 people, let me know too!  lol

Some Food I Wont Ever Be Posting Recipes For

What is the shared obsession with gelatinious things in food from the 50s and France? This all looks quite scary. The more traditional recipes in the book are quite good but I make sure to never look for the pictures of them because the photographer found a way to make everything look frightening.

Casino Lobster. Did it just finish playing poker? I dont get it.

Fish in Outerspace. Apparently these are not fish of some sort and not creatures from another planet.

Edible Horse. This is an appetizer of some sort. Im still looking for the appetizing part.

Chest Burster Chicken. I made the mistake of reading this recipe. Thats a whole chicken then coated in candied aspic. The other things are hard boiled eggs with the same treatment then on a bed of aspic. It looks dangerous.

Roulette Ham. Who looks at a perfectly good piece of meat and thinks "hey lets put goo on it, that would be awesome."

All of this from Modern French Culinary Art which is a self contained gallery of regrettable food.

Quick Healthy Snacks for Work

SHARE ON YUMMLY --> Yum

Finding healthy snacks for work isnt easy.

Youre running from meeting to meeting, conducting task after task, and answering question after question. You dont even have time for lunch, so forget about healthy snacking. On the job, your version of quick and healthy snacks are greasy chips and sugary candies from a vending machine--and neither fit the clean eating diet youre trying to continue.

May I recommend to you a few healthy snacks for work?

The choices below are nutritious, portable and virtually mess-free. Theyre perfect for work, as well as play. Most of all, they taste good.

1. Veggie Corn Chips

Whoever first added vegetables to corn chips is a genius! Our favorite chips are now filled with super foods like kale, chia and beets, but remain flavorful and crunchy. Because they come in snack-able sized bags, theyre great as quick healthy snacks for work.

My recommendations are SuperEats Kale and Chia Chips...

...and The Better Chip Beets and Sea Salt Corn Chips.

2. Fruit Chips

If veggie chips are good healthy snacks for work, so are fruit chips. For those of you with a sweet tooth, fruit chips offer the same sweet flavor but with natural sugar.

I fell in love with Seneca Apple Chips. Theyre sweet, crunchy, all-natural, gluten-free and quite frankly, EXTREMELY addictive.

Get them at Seneca Apple Chips.

My new addiction, though, are Samai plantain chips. Like apple chips, theyre naturally sweet, flavorful and crunchy.

3. All Natural Cookies

Cookie-lovers can enjoy healthy snacks for work too. Nowadays, there are many natural, low-calorie desserts at super markets. Try stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joes, or find "healthy foods" or "natural foods" sections at your local grocery store.

My choice are Hannah Max All Natural Cookies. They are sweet, crispy and wont leave you feeling bloated. If you need a treat during work hours, the Hannah Max All natural Cookies are fantastic healthy snacks for work!

4. Apples Slices (with Cheese or All-Natural Peanut Butter)

Fruits are good snacks for work, because theyre easy to carry. The work desk-friendly ones (a.k.a mess-free) are probably bananas and apples.

Apple slices are my favorite because they are sweet, crunchy and easy to dress up.

By dressing up I meant pairing them with with natural cheese slices like Beechers Handmade Cheese or all natural peanut butter.

If you havent tried Beechers Handmade Cheese, you must! Theyre hand-crafted fresh daily, using only the purest local ingredients. You can add them to just about anything. Theyre delightful!

6. Organic Corn Chips

If veggie corn chips arent your cup of tea, try organic corn chips like Late July Multigrain Tortilla Chips that are gluten-free, certified organic, non-GMO and filled with wholesome grains.

8. Pop Chips

In addition to tasting great and fun to eat, pop chips contain zero artificial ingredients and arent fried or baked. Best part? They have half the fat of regular potato chips, and wont leave your fingers greasy.

I like them, and so do my kids.

9. Pirate Bootys Pop Corn

My kids love these baked rice and corn puffs. Theyre flavorful with aged white cheddar, and are healthier than Cheetos, due to being free of artificial ingredients and having no trans fat.

Quite honestly, I love them too. Theyre perfect healthy snacks for work, as well as play.

10. Snap Pea Crisps

Made with baby snap peas and baked to crispy perfection, these lightly salted snacks are crunchy and tasty. Compared to potato chips, they have 50% less fat, and are loaded with fiber and protein. Theyre also light weight and easy to pack and store, making them perfect healthy snacks for work.
