Im still having trouble finding the motivation to workout, despite plenty of beautiful sunny afternoons for walking around the neighborhood. I sometimes find that I have "fits" of fitness or laziness. Sometimes obsessed with exercising, sometimes completely unconcerned with it. This has been a lazy month so far.
My eating habits have been pretty good though. Sometimes having trouble meeting my goal of 600 calories of protein for the day. Not sure if that means my body is ready for less food already or what. I guess Ill find out if I start to plateau. Ive already found that after nearly 6 weeks on this diet it is very difficult to keep my body in a constant state of Ketosis. I fight constantly to keep it in the right ranges by trying to drink as much water as I can and avoiding any carb-overload.
Todays Menu Includes:
"Pomberry" Vanilla Whey Protein Shake for Breakfast (see recipe below)
4 oz nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt with 1/4 cup blackberries for mid-morning snack
2.5 oz of Boars Head Everoast Chicken Breast slices rolled up and dipped in honey mustard with a cheese stick on the side for lunch
And dinner is planned to be some sort of grilled chicken and probably leftover cabbage from St Pattys.
My protein shake this morning was INCREDIBLE. Honestly it tasted like something you would buy from Jamba Juice (seriously). Heres the recipe, so others can try it out!
Pomberry Protein Shake
1 cup Pomegranate Pizzazz tea, chilled
1 cup ice
1 scoop Medi-Weightloss Vanilla Whey Protein Shake powder
1/3 cup fresh whole strawberries (tops removed)
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
Place all ingredients in blender and blend for 30 seconds or until well mixed. Serve immediately. Note: I made the tea a bit strong and a day ahead so it would be plenty cold for the shake.
Enjoy!!
