Breakfast

Egg and Feta Wrap

Want a lighter cheese? Try feta. Made with sheeps or goats milk, feta is gentler on the digestive system and has sufficient vitamins and minerals. It is, however, high in saturated fat and calories, and therefore better consumed earlier in the day.

Due to fetas sodium content, it pairs well with eggs because it adds a slightly salty flavor. In todays feta and egg wrap, I used organic whole wheat tortilla to add more nutritional value. The result was a tasty yet wholesome breakfast.

Mid Morning Snack

Grapes and Walnuts with Honey Drizzles

Crunchy, juicy and sweet, this simple snack is satisfying and clean.


Lunch

Fruits and veggies are go-tos for any clean eating recipe. Todays Pear Champagne Salad consisted of sweet pear, supple veggies and an assortment of other flavorful ingredients. The salad had a delicious combination of both flavor and texture. Most importantly, it made a healthy lunch.

With over 5000 re-pins on Pinterest--and going--this Mediterranean salad gained popularity with its savory flavor and healthy content. Combining spinach, goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts, the salad is already a clean eating dream. Then, it was drizzled in freshly-made Balsamic Vinaigrette...my mouth waters just thinking of it.
