Day 153

This week I have been making a real effort to stick with the plan and avoid temptation.  So far so good with staying within my calorie goal and avoiding the new self-serve frozen yogurt parlor up the street.  Well, Ive avoided it since last Saturday anyway!

I feel like Im getting a 2nd wind in my weight loss motivation.  Ive been much better about getting out and exercising.  Last night we took the dog to a nearby park/fishing area.  My hubby took a few casts while I walked the dog and introduced him to a German Shepherd that could have worn him for a hat.  Tuesday I counted my grocery shopping as my exercise... because anytime Im forced to move constantly for 45 minutes is exercise to me!  Monday we took Rascal to a little riverfront park near our house that had a nice wooded trail that was probably almost a mile when walked back & forth.  Or was that Sunday?  I cant remember one day to the next half the time but I do know that Ive been much more interested in physical activity lately.... surely a sign that Im feeling more comfortable with my body and its range of motion.  Im also trying to convince my cousin to swim laps with me in her pool but am not sure if shes ready to play lifeguard.  My swimming skills leave something to be desired, likely a product of not learning how until I was 18 and typically being anti-bathing suit all Summer.

Today renewed my interest in following Medi-Weightloss in a BIG way.  I received a comment on my previous blog from a contributing writer at Allure magazine.  Theyre doing a piece on Medi-Weightloss for their November issue and wanted to interview me about my experience with the plan!  I responded right away because its not every day that my life seems interesting to anyone else and had a great interview over the phone this afternoon.  I really hope that they spread the word about how beneficial this program can be for those that follow it diligently.  For all of my complaining, whining, and hissy fits over not being able to eat pizza I am truly grateful to have found Medi-Weightloss and that it has helped me lose over 50 lbs already.  Theres nothing like seeing that scale go down week after week.  Sometimes it bounces up a little but its usually my own fault and has nothing to do with the plan and everything to do with me "bending" the rules.  Ill really be interested to see how the article is written and what it says... particularly Im interested in reading the success stories of other people like me.  If anyone knows how hard it is to lose weight, its a lifetime yo-yo dieter and there are plenty of us out there!

Tonight I have no exercise planned and dinner will be broiled steak and turnip fries.  Im hoping to get Rascal out for another walk tomorrow night when Ive got some more free time.  My only gripe is that I wish the parks with the nice walking tracks would allow dogs!
