This week I have to work on getting more exercise. Especially with all of the nice weather weve been having. Maybe more dog walks or some hiking trails. Hopefully I can recover from Daylight Savings Time. That kind of killed me last week and still is today (I woke up at 6:30am because it was so bright in our room and had to go back to sleep with a throw blanket draped over my face).
Yesterday was particularly exciting food-wise. I made corned beef & cabbage in my crock pot. Unfortunately the roast I bought came with no seasoning packet so I had to make homemade picking spice & I used a tea ball to add it in to the crock pot so the roast wouldnt have cloves stuck all over it.
Heres the recipe I found online (I doctored using small amounts of ground seasonings where no whole ones were available):

Put the cinnamon sticks and peppercorns in a plastic bag and smash them with a meat tenderizer or a hammer. Crumble the bay leaves into flakes about 1/8" size. Mix all the ingredients together and store in a tight jar.
